Re: Panart: San Felipe 1:75 Scale Build Log

Thank you Denis, and all.... The latest is not really all that exciting, but necessary. I read ahead in the instructions because the planking that meets the Stern was bugging me - seems the pieces did not have a correct flow to it. Found out I was correct and the planking had to be trimmed back som...

Re: Posting Images via this forum

The developers should have named that button to something else. I agree it is NOT self explanatory. If I could change it I would, but it is probably deep down in the code that I could never find.

Re: Trip to Navy Maritime Museum and USS Constellation

Thank you dvm. I will keep the Annapolis in mind - I read that link and I see what you mean. I will probably visit the Annapolis instead. I hate to admit, but the history of the ships, I am not as well versed. There is just so much out there I do not know. I did not know any difference in the USS Co...

Re: Panart: San Felipe 1:75 Scale Build Log

. Thank you everyone for your kind words and support. I am just learning - I am not a planking expert by any means. But on this first layer, I thought I would take my time and see how well I can do before the final planking. Well, I am almost done with the first layer. . I attempted to try and show...

Re: Pen Duick Build Log

I think I see what is going on. Penduick, not only does the deck have a sweep motion from the front to rear (bow to stern). The deck also has a sweep curvature from side to side. It might have been that you glued the deck down and not realizing that all of the deck must be touching ALL SURFACES of t...

Re: Pen Duick Build Log

Have you started the process of "fairing" the hull? This is where the edges of the Bulkhead will be sanded or filed down to "conform" to the shape of the deck --in this case I believe. It is really difficult not being there to see exactly what is going on. Did you take a look at ...

Trip to Navy Maritime Museum and USS Constellation

Hi Folks, just wanted to let everyone know I am going to Washington D.C. The trip is mostly so that the Admiral can visit her family. She is from the Philippines and will get a chance to see her mother as it has been many years. While we are there, we are going to (or plan to) visit the Navy Museum ...
