Egyptian Seagoing Ship “Byblos” - 1:32 [COMPLETED BUILD]

I want to start with a new log. In other Forum I saw how one member started with a project related with an ancient Egyptian Seagoing Ship, dated 2500 years BC. It brought to me a lot of curiosity.... so I decided to start my own.....so many steps, documents to read, CAD to build my own plans an so.

Amati has the same model, but it comes with a lot of simplifications, and from my point of view, with some mistakes....

LET’S START !!!!!!!!
Hallo and Buenos días Hellmuth,
we wish you all the BEST and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Enjoy your day

Here we are again.....progress in the base.....

First I made a stone simulation/distribution in the MDF

Second I applied the stone-cast on top of it, making sure that the stones joints needed to be marked

I installed the wood beams....

WE ARE REALLY CLOSE !!!!!!

Congrats! It was a joy to follow your build log! Something you don't see every day. The outcome is superb!! Bravo! ThumbsupThumbsup

Superb !! Thumbsup
I like your maintaining the earth/tan tones with everything and not trying to bring in the brightly colored gods & goddess as I believe have been found by archeologists from fragments still existing on the stones recovered and analyzed. The colors would have been too distracting, I believe, from your personalized diorama. Excellent work in every aspect from methodology, research, and craftsmanship. Rich (PT-2)

Thanks to you all for those kind words. As I mentioned before, the forum becomes a really important part of the process. Motivational and challenger to keep to you all there.
Your comments-likes are essential to keep the job “going” and most important FINISHED!!!

thanks

I was making an assumption from other findings as almost everything found now has been sand blasted clean so the paint fragments are few and far apart. You have done a lot of excellent research in your project. Exceptionally well done. Rich (PT-2)

Some time I see a build that go on a level of precision level that I can only dream to obtain. Well we have a perfect example of that kind of work.:cool:Thumbsup
