I'm using different woods on the build because I like the color contrasts and it shows the joints better. Some of the woods I'm using are cedar, poplar, red and white oak, black walnut, box wood, bass wood.
This is yet, another great build of one of the really popular ships chosen as a model among modelers across the globe. Many thanks, Randy for starting a build log!
Randy is actually a neighbor that lives about 10 min from my house and I visit him each week and marvel at his progress of this beautiful and also very complicated model.
