I have been looking over your build log this morning. It's growing into a beautiful model!

Then you are ahead of me, I am working on my first build. Did acquire several books on ship modeling but nothing beats a forum like this where actual experience is shared.
 
Indeed, I also own that book - the dutch edition. Years ago I borrowd it several times from our public library but it covers a lot of information so i decided to buy it.

It will certainly prevent me from making too many mistakes by mixing building methods from diffetent periods and regions.

I ordered this model from Amazon for reasons I'll keep to myself but suffice to say, it was expensive. But not to worry. I'm sure I'll spend even more along the way.

The box arrived undamaged and was over 2 feet long, 4 inches deep and pretty heavy. I'll show pictures of the contents next posting.
