Incredible amount of information here at SoS. For that, thank you! The Bluenose is my first wood model and I'm still trying to figure out how to cut the rabbits for planking. I know it will be a long-term project as I have multiple other kits I'm working on.

Welcome aboard from Connecticut. There are many build logs here on the Bluenose to help you with problems. There are also many kind people on board who will impart their wisdom and experience to you.

So I've seen. Thank you.

Don’t tease! ;) What else is on the bench?

And welcome aboard. :D
Thanks.

Right now, it's all plastic. I kind of bounce from one to another.

There’s nothing wrong with plastic. There’s even a section here for build logs of any subjects in any media.

I bounce around too and currently have a wooden Xebec and a plastic Anson in play both with logs.

The Blackbird is an impressive kit. The challenge is in the painting I think. And a 1/25 fire truck? I’ll have to look that beast up!

The Blackbird is impressive. At 27" long, I feel the challenge will be getting an even coat on it. I've played with the idea of giving it a realistic paint job, with fuel stains and what not, but I'm not sure. As for the fire truck, I'm planning on lettering it to identify it as one from the department I retired from.
