Trumpeter 1/32 Fairey Swordfish Mk1

Hi Jim,

Many thanks for the information re: the Canadian Swordfish. I did indeed search the internet and found some very interesting details regarding the aircraft!

I am grateful for you sharing and alerting me to this,

Kindest regards
Kevin

Porsche,
Several years ago this swordfish HS554 was rebuilt to flying condition here in Chatham Kent Ontario Canada. It was salvaged and rebuilt by Bob Spence about twenty minutes from me. For more information do a search on Bob Spence Swordfish. I believe this aircraft is now in the UK.

Could be the one I saw at Fairford back in the '90's?

Here is my completed 1/32 Swordfish which was detailed and painted using Tamiya XF's and weathered with a Flory wash and pastels. The kits rigging proved to be nigh on impossible for me to use (builders error I think!) and so I replaced it with stainless steel wire. Happy to answer any questions you may have,
Cheers.

Absolutely great! What a marvelous job.

Ah!!! The heroic "Stringbag", Legend of Taranto, and the demise of the formidable "Bismarck", and the scourge of numerous U-Boats. Only the Poms!

Lovely modelling … great effort and brilliant result

Excellent weathering. Did you find photos to show where the grubby oil streaks should go. Hard to pull off realism with washes, but you surely have set a new standard in realism.

Well done!

Fantastic attention to detail! Great work. I made this model myself many years ago, and was thinking of giving it another go. This has certainly inspired me.
