I have been uneasy about my interpatation of the BST plan of Rollcall showing, what I thought was, a davit support on the wash deck, and the more I thought about it the more I felt I had got it wrong. I now feel, (certian), it is a base for a samson post, both port and starboard which makes far more sense as placed there it would protect the rigging from the tow rope ripping throughit if the tug is 'girted' ie heals and turns so that the tow slides towards the beam I think. I really need to read more about tug handling.
No matter it was lucky that I attched these bits using pva so they are already pulled off and it is time to go again.

Another true story Jack, especially after they got a hiding by the Boks on Sunday and no British Silverstone winner. The little Island will be mighty depressed if they loose to Norway .

Good evening,
Juat about finished all the deck fittings, the last being four crates on wheels that are to represent two portable salvage pumps and their gear. They don't look like much and I might dump them. I had the bright idea of stenciling on some i.d., but that does not look right so I will give it the bye ball. The towing bows were very difficult to get exactly right but look acceptable. Still a bit to do with the rigging then one final layer of detail and painting after that a decision on how to finish the hull. When I started this build I recond to have it done and dusted by August so still well on target.
