I recently read an article online about relationships:
Thanks to Harvard’s Grant and Glueck studies — which tracked 724 participants from varying walks of life over the course of 75 years — we’ve already uncovered the key to long-term happiness and fulfillment. The quality of our life — emotionally, physically, and mentally — is directly proportional to the quality of our relationships.

So, you might ask, what does this have to do with Ships of Scale. To me - a lot. Not only engaging in a hobby that is fascinating, but we also have the comrade of sharing our knowledge, skills, and talent with no reservation at all. We are more than happy to help.

At SOS, I believe that relationships are vital. No one is an island unto themselves. It is just not healthy to go through life with no one to stay in touch with. The person behind the model is important. The person is the most important glue of all. Relationships are the glue that goes far beyond the glue that holds the ship together. Without the relationship glue, nothing will hold together.

SOS is stronger than ever. Members are happier. New friendships are made. Your models take on a new life knowing you have a support group. That is why SOS is here. We are more than just a modeling forum.

Whether you believe or not or have faith or not, or whatever method you choose, there are some fundamental truths about these passages that I have listed. I would like to encourage you if you so desire to take time to look them up. They are encouraging and uplifting to the soul.

Proverbs 18:24
"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
"Two are better than one because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!"

1 John 4:7
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."

My friends, do not let "the evil" divide as this is the course and path of "the evil". To destroy one another. For when the Devil speaks, he is the father of lies and he is speaking his native language. To kill, steal, and destroy and to whisper in your ear to say to you that you can't do anything right. God whispers in your ear and tells you that you can do it. Let Him be on your side. He can be your ultimate friend that will last forever and will never steer your ship in the wrong direction.

Gentlemen,
I have a saying that sums up "Ship of Scale" friends ,
We Few,
We Happy Few,
We Band of Brothers.
I'm happy to know friends from around the world who have the same love of model ships. I know I won't meet you all in person, but through this forum I can learn new skills .
Thank you Gentlemen.

Thank you Gentlemen,
I know if I hit a " rock in the road" of ship building , I can turn to a colleague on the SoS Forum to help me show where I'm going wrong , friends who enjoy the same love of the hobby be it building in wood, plastic or card . It indeed is a Band of Brothers.
