HMS Pickle 1800

Your anchor buoy is looking very good.
I have only one small comment, referring the anchor cable, which is looking slightly to thin and not in correct relation to the anchor.
I would think, that the cable rope would be thicker - only a suggestion and you could check this

I'd like to add to Uwe's comment. In addition to a bit thin anchor cable, the Haws holes should be bigger and usually have lead alloy inserts. You can make one with brass tubing, thought. Keep up the great work, Mustafa. ;)

Thanks Uwe. thanks Jim. I agree with you, the cable is too thin. My biggest deficiency is not being able to make rope. I need to make a ropewalk.
Making your own rope is really great idea, I fully support it! There is some ropework available on the Internet. Take a look at this one.

Off course this would be an additional advantage to be able to make the ropes in all sizes by yourself. but this will take off course some time.
Thicker ropes and cables are also offered by several suppliers - not that your work on your model is stopped ;)
BTW: good hint by Jim related to the Hawse hole!

This may look daft and I haven't tried it, yet it may be a cheep if temporary 'rope walk'. From what I can make out, the thing does the same job. I picked a box full up at a boot sale. They come in 2, 3 and 4 post versions. I have posted this in the tools forum before.hair-1.png

Pugwash, can't find your previous post, do you have a link to this site ?, with a little redevelopment, this opportunity may work.

Mustafa, congratulations on a very pretty model you can be proud of, questions - are there any prizes / trophies that appear in the background?
Do you have plans for another model after this?
BDW, I ordered the hair braid machine you showed, it will be exciting to see how it goes o_O.

Thank you Knut. Trophies are not related with modelling. They were presented to me by the company I worked for while I was working (anyversary etc.) and when I got retired. I will order braid machine too because it's not available in Turkey. I have Mantua's Santa Maria kit. I am going to start it soon.

Mustafa, it's always nice to get awards / trophies, in every context, I have dozens of my time as a shooter,
long ago.
It would have been brilliant if this cheap machine works the way we want it to do ROTF.
Good luck with Mantua's Santa Maria kit, Knut-

I was planning to order small gearwheels to make my own ropewalk but I have postponed it after Pugwash's post. I will try that machine first. Have a nice day.

Knut, by the way I see in your signature zone that there are ship models which you have already completed and you are still working on. But there are no links to your build logs if you have. I would like to see your models too.

Before Knut is answering, I want to show a fast way how to search for topics, somebody started, so also the building logs - maybe also interesting for others:
