Hello everyone! I'm HJX, you can call me Jack-my English name. I am honored to be able to join this forum. I used to use 2d/3d software to make ship model(or drawings), then use CNC to process the various parts. I'm working on the HMS Atalanta-British 18th century 6th rate sloop-3d now, I'm going to process parts by CNC and make her into actual one(model)-maybe next month.

I hope to have more communication with you.

Thanks

Jack

Hi Jack
Nice to see your approach to the building of the model. I appreciate the effort you put into the creation of the computer model as I was working in that line of work for long years. You virtually doubled the work for yourself as the time to create that model will be comparable to the building of the 'real' model (although the latter results in a bit of more sawdust...)

G'day from down under
Welcome again to SOS. We are so pleased that you have joined our family here.
Glad to see you you have waisted no time in showing us your intentions.
I will take first row centre as you progress with this build.
Happymodeling

Greetings Jack and looking forward to follow your build. I am currently in Hangzhou on holidays for two more weeks. Can you recommend any shops that sell models or materials in HangZhou? I am looking to visit some modeling shops and Hangzhou is a beautiful big city and have not found anywhere to examine Chinese modeIs in person. I am staying in the Shangcheng area.

Hi everyone!
Yes, the project of Atalanta as a commercial development has been terminated, my friend Mr. YIJIE is making that model, which is a personal rather than a commercial project. Because he bought a whole set books of Swan class..., he made that model without any infringement.

I am working with British ship model experts to develop another project of 74 gun , which has obtained a written commercial license from NMM and is originally developed based on historical documents (such as contracts,NMM draughts etc.).

Maybe he will publish his build log in the future.

Thank you!

This is sounding very interesting so both themes - we are very interested in
1) to see a building log and
2) to hear more about the 74-gun project
Great information
