hey guys i thunk im gonna be back in the next couple days had to make several trips back out of town to finish up business with the estate finally thats all done but then first time since 1989 i went to the dr for a check-up and the day i see the dr she sends me overnight to the hospital as my BP was 200/91.

so then hospital did bazillion tests blood checks and since i was there dr had them check everything, mri, x rays, ekg, and some other stuff and the conclusion is i am healthy as an ox my heart kidneys liver cholesteral etc all perfect cept my BP is high so she has had me on meds for the last couple weeks and now im down to avging 118-120/ 80-83 so everythings fine now and its time for me to go back to ships. I gonna go through my stuff and there was one i was working on before somewhere that i had most everything but the back transome area complete.

I want to find that and try to complete it and get something ready to do some building. also after so much time away from drawing need to refresh my skills.

but I am finally back

you know not been to dr since 89 figures goto one and she makes me sick i shoulda stayed away and remained healthy. I think I was but the stress over the last 3 months dealing with wifes stuff for her did it.

Anyways I think I found what I was working on and been working last 5 days straight 2-11 so been trying to catch up on sleep etc and get back into the work groove.

I was working on a privateer ketch at some scale ill pull it up in solidworks tomorrow think 1/12th so easier to work with. its hull is based off a sloop as far as i can figure out. lol tough trying to go back and fiugure out what you were doing based on images you had.

However i will not mess with much else til I do it as i decided not to over extend myself trying to do a bunch of different things I will try to work one project for myself so I can enjoy building too and not just drawing. and since this project is small enough ship it can turn into nice cross section ship or half hull ship or full hull ship or full hull rigged ship and be of a size anyone can handle as it can always easily be scaled up or down.

I just need to get my head back into ship design and it looks like I had the bow to mid section finished and just need to finish the aft section and the dreaded transom area. once i get that to where I am happy the rest is a piece of cake.

also another reason for doing it ketch rigged it because as a small privateer ship it would run coastal waters and the latin riggin makes it able to sail easier with or against the wind and be a fast ship as would have been appropriate for a privateer at the time. it also makes it a little easier rigging and makes it a little narrower allowing for more display choices.
 
I too welcome you back Joe, looking foreward to your knowledge of the 3-D process, and please do not foreget the bomb ketch project WINSTON IS PROCEDING WITH THE PROTO-TYPE. Don
