ropewalk 3d print

He Greg. Before you consider buying a 3d printer I would recommend looking at http://www.aurarum.com.au
Kits are a PITA. I ended up getting the Flashforge pro 12 months ago and its flawless with no hassles. The printer sofware is very easy and its both Mac and Windows based.

If i was going kit based go the Prusa3D.

Aurarum have great filament and its made in AUS locally at Keysborough Victoria and its great value and quality.

3d Printing is a slow process.

Take a look at The XYZ printers as well they make great printers at affordable prices and My understanding is the software is now really good compared to the first offering they made. you can also get printers from them that print in multi colors and have laser attachments for engraving and I understand they now have scanning onboard some units that allows you to set an item on the bed press scan it will scan the objects and print out a perfect copy. I had to buy a separate hand scanner to do that back when I bought the first offering from XYZ

Unfortunately like with everything there are good and bad points for all the 3D printers. the only way to truly get what you want is to hack them to solve any bad issues. That requires sometimes to be able to write Programs and that's the hardest part for hacking them upgrading bearings and extruders and such is fairly simple for anyone with even modest mechanical skills. the best thing to do is look at a printer then look it up on youtube for reviews and upgrades folks are doing to make them even better. once you have that information you can easily choose a printer that will suit your needs as well as your skill level to upgrade it. Flashforge, makerbot those are higher end printers, but even those have things that can make them better. I normally choose things based on open source firmware and software the reason for that is they are easier to rewrite and repair programing if you have those skills. they also have a larger community of folks working on that firmware and software to improve it constantly.

G'day all
I'm curious, do anyone have heard anything about Geeetech Auto Level Kossel Delta Rostock G2s dual extruder 3D Printer? I think I can get this one very cheap. Just wanted to know any good or bad reports.

Never heard of those brands Brother But when printers came out there were only a few companies making them over the last couple years its exploded with new offerings some good but many not so good. your usually best suited to choose one that's been out a bit with all or nearly all the bugs worked out. a safe bet is to check Youtube if there are only a few reviews chances are they haven't been out long or long enough for folks to find issues.

Here is another 3D printed rope maker that you may be interested in. I have printed it and am in the process of assembling it. Right now I'm held up getting the hardware because of the closures. The instructions for assembling it are good. Let me know your results. Enjoy.
