After removing the laser cut bulkheads and the backbone and two part special reinforcing parts securing the bulkhead I did dry fit test.

The backbone/keel

As for the simulated planking,I will use it as a subdeck and going to plank it with real wood as the title of the log says "heavily modified".

WOW !!!
Very impressive on all of it !!! Seems like a well designed kit to build. Can't wait to see this one come to life !

Installing the bulkheads was a little bit interesting, first I had to slide into one of the reinforcing parts one by one each bulkhead, the interlocking slots must facing outwards and after the second reinforcing part slides in with interlocking slots facing also outwards just the opposite side. Here are a few pictures I took from the instruction booklet showing these steps. The instruction manual free to download.

With this method no need for more reinforcement between the bulkheads , the whole structure really sturdy and not even glued in yet.

Time to do some fairing, looking through the bulkheads I realized that bulkhead number 2 needs some shimming on the port side.

After finished installing the bulkheads and some initial fairing and shimming I decided to add little more reinforcements at forecastle and stern area.
