I built the 1/200 Bismarck by Hatchette in the partworks series about 15 years ago.
I think this Trumpeter kit is superior and well done so far.

Not going PE crazy on this one, got in way over my head on first one and didn’t finish it, got Hood and Missouri in the stash

Good luck with the build. I'm half way through my 2nd 1/200 Arizona (stuffed up the first one too badly to recover) and have the 1/200 Hood in the stash. Will watch you build with interest.

First red coat, it will dry to a Matt finish and after I do slight weathering and add the boot stripe it should look good

What is the item you are using as a stand to paint the hull. I can see the name ROBART. Is it specifically for modelling, or did you adapt it?

Thanks for the feedback. Based on your links, I found a model aircraft store locally that stocked a very similar item and grabbed one. Perfect size.
