Struggling to find frame x8 parts for the hawse section. The only pieces I can find is nothing like the actual part which has a square end anyway.
See problem below.
Looks nothing like the YTube build video.
Can anyone throw some light on please.
Have looked through other builds on this site but just can get my head around this.

Greetings Mario

hello
The X8 frame consists of two single frames (as they are called in the instructions/video) on each side. So you don't glue them together. After assembling frames, you process them separately according to lasered lines. On the jig, you put only the half-frame build-up from three parts. And it will fit. I put some 0.5 mm spacer at the top end, as there is a thickness difference. There should be 10 parts in total for all 4 half-frames

Thank you so much. Can’t sleep , keep thinking about this silly thing but you know what it’s like I’m sure.
It was the two frame thing I didn’t get.
Will have another look and please keep on this thread if I need more help.
So grateful.

hi
According to the instructions, it should be a three-part half-frame. So use the other one. The side view plans have the dividing line wrong for this piece.
But this is the idea.

At this stage at the moment. All going well. A lot of concentration needed to get all the main rib sections correct.
Will start a separate build log soon on this one.
Just need to get past the repetitive opening and contents threads. All been done already.

Your framing looks great. The idea of having the gun ports cut out before the entire framing is up would scare me. If you do not already have it, there is a full contract of one of her sister ships with all her scantlings that can be compared to the parts in the kit. It may be of no interest, but I attached a transcribed copy in case you want to check it out.

Many thanks AllanK.
That is a good read to give me even less sleep than I get already.
This hobby is obsessive.
