Good morning. A worthy project. Have fun and enjoy. Cheers GrantStarting on a new build. Been looking forward to doing this ship because I love the story of its loss and the rescue of the whole crew.

That is very true, but at least all 28 people survived, unlike the crews of Erebus and Terror in the Franklin expedition, all of whom died of various causes including the effects of lead poisoning, scurvy, tuberculosis, botulism, and hypothermia.with a sad story
This Endurance kit was my first build. And if it hadn't been for this kit I would never have begun ship modeling.
The story of the Endurance is without a doubt one of the most remarkable survival stories ever. Although most of it unfolded after the sinking of Endurance. The often repeated fact that the complete crew was saved has contributed largely to the legendary status of this expedition. What most people do not know is that shortly after their rescue, many of them very killed in WW I. Another less know fact is that there was another ship in this expedition, SY Aurora (that was also employed by Douglas Mawson in the 1910 Australasian Antarctic expedition). Three of it's crew perished, so one cannot say all members of Shackleton's Imperial Antarctic Expedition were saved. One can say however that all crew under direct command of Shackleton were saved. The story of Aurora (The Ross Sea Party) is hardly less astonishing than the story of Endurance.
Good luck with your build, I will keep an eye on it.

As a matter of fact, having looked at your past builds, I honestly think you will do much better than I did.Hope I will be able to do as well as yours. Beautiful build.
Thank you for your kind words. As a matter of fact, having looked at your past builds, I honestly think you will do much better than I did.
Good morning Rebus. Off to a fine start. Enjoy! Cheers GrantAfter returning from holiday break, was able to get some planking done the past two days. Going along much better than my first time of planking. I'm pleased with the way it is going together.

Namabiiru, yes after the last bullhead is two stacks of plywood pieces to make up two filter blocks.Hi, Rebus. Nice progress. I’ve not built this kit, and I’m surprised to see the planking stop at the aft-most bulkhead. Will that be finished with an unplanked filler block?
