Proxxon question

Hi Everyone....

I noticed a few of the members have experience of using the latest Proxxon Universal Milling machine UF /E.... I just wondered how loud it is and if it's quiet enough to run in the spare bedroom? I'll mostly be milling wood.



I've tried to check the Proxxon website but no mention of DB levels, not much on YouTube either. Anyone else use one?

It’s got a variable speed dial, so I guess you can run it on slow revolutions. It really screams at full power.

It’s not the sound that you have to worry about; it’s the dispersion of sawdust. Whether you live with your mother or your children’s mother, sawdust is not a welcome thing in the house. If you live with neither, the ladies tend not to be impressed by a coating of powder over everything.

It looks like I'm going to be watching Bob Ross and buying oil paints....

AT HIGH SPEEDS IT SQUEALS LIKE A PIG! If used, then for processing soft materials. I have both Proxon drives, I would recommend the BWF 40 quiet and powerful, more versatile

I'm surprised the UF/E is louder since it is brush less but maybe it has more bearings....
