I have received a few questions from members about when will Model Expo release the new Seguin Tug.

Well, today I received the good news that they have the first 20 kits complete and ready to be added in their catalog and website.

Monday Sept 1st , they will produce 30 more kits.

So, yes, finally, in a few days you’ll see this kit added to their website, just keep watching.
 
I just came out of Model Expo because I had to take a picture of the first Seguin lot so you guys could see it.
Soon I will also start posting a Midwest Fire Boat building log because Model Expo wants to start producing it also.

When will it be available on their site? I keep checking, and nothing shows. Thanks!
 
The revised model production is done. Now they are gathering parts like drive shafts, propeller and R/c equipment to create packages to go along with the model.
From what I gather today. they will show it in their website no later than Sept 3rd.
 
Is the quality better than the original Midwest kits? I have built the Fireboat before. It was fun but of average quality.
 
I can’t give you my opinion about the Fireboat, but for sure will be an improved version.
When I finish building the original kit and I give them my opinion, they will see how can it be improved.
Any opinion?
 
Yes. CoastieGeorge. I also love that very nice looking model.
Let see if after they finish producing The Fireboat, I could put a good word for the USCG 47’.
It would help tremendously if other forum members ask for it, that might be a very positive influence.
Model Expo eventually will produce all of the Midwest models. But it takes a lot of work to plan and produce a model plus they also have a deal with Dusek/Mamoli to produce and distribute their models.
 
That is fantastic. I finally found an original one and duplicated it so I can build four of them. Any idea what the cost will be?
 
I just purchased it minutes ago. You did an incredible job building the one in the photos on their website for them. It sold me on this model. Thank you for your help back channel by the way.
