I was thinking of making a treasure chest or something inside it so that the candy wouldn't get stuck in the moving parts should they be added.
Although it's so big that if it's strong enough we could put plastic bottles of liquor in it haha

You could make it like Russian stacking dolls: inside the dragon is a treasure chest, inside the chest is something else, and inside that, and so on. Once you get through all the pinatas, there’s room for once piece of candy. My Dad used to wrap Christmas presents that way.
