HMS BOUNTY (Artesania Latina)

Hello all!
As promised, my first “work in progress” photos.
Up to now, I’m pretty happy with the materials in this kit!







BTW.. Here’s a quick overview of part of my fleet so far… yes, it’s getting out of hand.

The upper deck has been installed—not as described in the manual with nails that are far too large, but simply with a pencil. This is sufficient, at least for me.

Since I'm about to finish this AL-kit, I know there will definitely be more moments when it makes sense to deviate from the manual!Good to see you've solved it nicely with the deck nails!

prachtige foto's in Amsterdam zie ik hier net voorbij komen, én jouw Bounty mocht er zeker gezien worden, prachtig werk!
Ik vroeg me af welke beits je gebruikt hebt, ik ben voor mijn bootje er nog niet helemaal uit...

I was wondering which stain you used, I'm not quite out for my boat yet...

Bedankt voor het compliment. Eind september is er weer een modelexpo, waarschijnlijk ook weer in Amsterdam. Wellicht iets voor jouw om deel te nemen met je schepen?

Ik gebruik de beits en olie zoals hieronder op de foto. de beits bestel ik bij kolderstok. Ik denk dat ik over het algemeent meer en vaker beits dan gebruikelijk om een mooie veroudering te bereiken.

Thanks for the compliment. There's another model exhibition at the end of September, probably in Amsterdam again. Perhaps you'd like to participate with your ships?

I use the stain and oil shown in the photo below. I order the stain from Kolderstok. I think I generally stain more and more often than usual to achieve a nice aging effect.
