Just getting going with OcCre’s tug..Ulises…1/30. This is my third plank on bulkhead model having finished a Bluenose and a seagoing tug of unknown origin, both some years ago. Tugs are notorious for carrying deck accessories, ie. Barrels, buckets, tools etc. Not being into 3D is there anyone out there that sells this type of 1/30 scale aftermarket product? Any info would be gratefully received.

I got the RC bug out of my system some years ago belonging to a Model Flying Club…..expensive business….LOL. Now my “ships” are static. I enjoy the “journey” and the feeling of satisfaction plus it keeps me away from the TV

There are a lot of great photos at the following website that you may find interesting as to what things were usually found on board. Click the contents on the left then you have to scroll down to see the photos. Some really great stuff.

Thanks for the input guys. I found a Canadian distributor in BC that has a host of scale accessories from both Billings and Artesania.. Love the photos!! Years ago I did a “Bluenose.” I got copies of the original drawings from the Bluenose Museum in Lunenberg in Nova Scotia. Unfortunately most of this “stuff” disappeared when I moved on to my boat in Victoria BC many years ago. Now I’m a landlubber in currently snowy Ontario.

Try scrolling model rail road sites. Model rail road sites have a lot of accessories that are used to dress up the rail road features. Check the scale conversion…you might be able to use HO scale accessories directly.

This site does 1/30 scale. Most of what they have is military from various eras. But once on the site you can do a keyword search for something like "barrels". https://hobbybunker.com/search/results?dept=products&term=barrel

This a great idea…..thanks for that. The closest “gauge” is actual 1 gauge which is 1:32 more used in the UK than here apparently for model railroaders. HO gauge although certainly more readily available is a tad small, not that I’m the expert but Google is a wonderful thing…….sometimes.
