I'm using spray paint because I don't have an airbrush (yet) It doesn't look too bad. But an airbrush is ideal for this.
I'll try to take clearer photos. I don't know if it's the old camera or the photographer being bad.

It's a Heller kit. Revell also had it in their catalog, but I'd say it's the same kit.

I have the Trumpeter Titanic in the same 1/200 scale, which I plan to assemble later. The idea is to put them in the same display case.

We're still at the shipyard. By the way, don't use that primer spray you see above on model plastic; it doesn't adhere well. Despite using cheap sprays, it's not turning out too badly, although I still need to fix some chipped paint. Well, real ships get chipped too!

I've even dared to add some subtle rust effects. The decals are very, very delicate.

We're almost there. I've ordered some photo-etched railings; the kit comes with plastic ones, but I'm not convinced by them. I've seen several builds of this kit online, some very good, and the truth is, the railings make all the difference. Mine... well, it's not bad, but the railings will improve it. I still need to add a crane, an antenna, and two masts. That will be at the end, because otherwise, I'm sure I'll break it. And then the final touches.
