Looking for model builder in s. California area

Hello everyone,
I’m an objects/sculpture conservator based in Santa Barbara. Recently a client reached out to me about restoring a wooden model ship, believed to be 70 plus years old. This is outside my area of expertise and I’m wondering if anyone in this group might be interested/know someone who might be able to take this on in the Southern California area.

Have you contacted any ship model clubs? It is a long ride on I-5 from you but maybe try the club in Irvine.
