Although this post is from January 2025 I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the EUROMODEL COMO being bought by any individual or company ?
EUROMODEL COMO Produce some superb ships more notably the
"ROYAL WILLIAM" it would be a very sad loss not to have this and the other host of ships lost to time and not in production in the future.

I have built 2 of their kits and they are very challenging models. They are expensive and lacking in photoetch parts which would make for a better build. Just my opinion of course.

Yeah I understand that as I've seen a couple of builds on YouTube.
I think the challenge is a good one though to have you constantly thinking out of the box as to somewhere near scratch building, I don't like too much photo etch in a kit i much prefer cast metal or resin or plastic moulded parts or wood regards to carvings etc as these would make for a more 3 dimensional finish, like you ust my preference and opinion

As a retailer, I have sold many of those Royal William kits, and I can tell you it is one fantastic kit. In fact, I have sold pretty well all of them at some point or other. I have spoken with Massimo Mazza several times over the years and have even tried to figure out a way to buy his company and work from here in Montreal. His organization is very efficient, with suppliers for just about all the parts he puts in the kits. I think it would take a 2,000 square-foot space, plus a small office, to make it work.

His shop includes at least one completed model of each of his kits and, that alone, would be worth having.

I do hope someone steps up. It's a wonderful set of kits.
