The Ocean going rescue tug, HMT Rollcall W81 1920, Built using Caldercraft's Resolve grp hull and plans (much modified).

Brings back memories Grant a dangerous place for the careless. Thinking back the year I had the best fun was when racing and haveing no road bike I borrowed a Honda CR450 from my cousin who was I rish champion at the time. No tax, no insurance no number plate and an enging running on toluene, You needed ear plugs and my mates complained they where being hit by the disentergrating knobs from the back tire as we came down the Creg.

You never think it would end.

I always thought slightly crazy people build tiny ships to scale however in your case it is confirmed. ROTF . That tyre must have been a slick by the endo_O. We had so much more freedom growing up in those days- surprised some of us made it to present. Cheers Grant

I should have added no sense. And yes these days the IOM is not only invaded by bickers at TT time but half the police force of north England you will now be arrested if you put a foot on the road after road closing. The last year I was there I saw a German guy fined £500 for walking across the road a good half hour before a practise lap started!

We live in a world of risk aversion gone mad. JJ..
 
Good evening. A bit more work on the center island, adding the steel wire guy cables to the funnels.(thin and very delicate turnbuckles). I also fixed the life boats and started rigging their blocks, It is all still a bit messy looking but should turn out good. This only leaves the surounding rails and then to attach the flying bridge to finish this section, Slow but I am getting there.
Should be some TT racing tomorrow if the jobsworths don't step in. One or two for Michael if it goes ahead.

Getting all nostalgic about roadracing it was fifty years ago this summer that I rode in my first road race, The now defunct Carrowdore 100 I finished 4th in the 'B' class and 13th overall out of about forty in the 500cc class riding a TZ 351.

P.S. The greatest Irish roadracer of all time is in the red leathers in the background Ray Mc Collough.

Very nice and good looking scaled wiring, Jack. And now we know more about you affection for road racing and especially for the TT.
As a BMW lover I do like this special M1000RR livery, introduced a short time ago:

Looks like it would lap in the 130's stratght out of the box. Have you ordered one?

If I could ride any bike again I think I would seek out one of those Paton SI-R's
