HMS Enterprize 1774 Scale Scale 1/160 Midships Cross Section

I love this kit. I may have missed this from an earlier post and apologize if that is the case. Are the beams marked below temporary supports just for during the build and will be removed later? Looks like a really secure way to do this. Your build really looks great.
Thanks
Allan

Hey Alan,

I'm always delighted when you drop by, and I really hope you like my construction method. Regarding your question: you've asked me this before, and I answered it on pages 11 and 12. These are the beams that can also be seen on your original plan. You also asked me which of the two plans I'm following. In other words, warship or merchant ship. Of course, I am following the warship plan, but I am building according to Unicorn's plan. That means the beams remain inside. But you are right. The planks used are excellent for stability. But if you mean the recesses, those are the supports for the foot of the bracket. They will of course be removed and will no longer be visible afterwards... I hope I have made myself clear. Please excuse my poor English. If you have any further questions, please ask.

Best regards,

Günther

Regarding your question: you've asked me this before,
Thank you. I thought that might be the case, but was not sure if you were still following the kit plans or the original plans, thus my confusion. This area was for ballast and barrel storage so the beams don't seem to serve any purpose and would get in the way. As discussed previously it was probably just a matter of the kit designer using the wrong plans from RMG. Please forgive this old brain........ my memory stinks as time goes on. :)o_O

Hey Alan,

There's nothing to forgive. :D On the contrary! It shows me how genuinely interested you are in my construction report. I'm grateful for your questions and suggestions. I'm always happy to hear from you and am more than happy to answer your questions. So, whenever you want to ask something, go ahead... Thank you very much...!!:DThumbsup

Hello everyone,

After a long absence, I’m back on the forum and looking forward to your great comments and your building projects. I was lucky enough to be travelling and visited Singapore, Lapland and England. Whilst there, I visited HMS Victory. Unfortunately, I found that the ship was completely covered in scaffolding, so I couldn’t see any of its exterior. Only small details were visible. It is undergoing a complete restoration and, everyone hopes, will be fully restored by 2034. That means even with all its masts, sails and rigging. So I’ve decided to travel to England again to see it. Nevertheless, you can still visit it. I took countless photos of the interior. It was simply indescribable. I also visited the Maritime Museum in Greenwich. It was simply beautiful …

I’d be happy to post a few pictures on my forum if that’s what you’d like…..

Best regards

Günther

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for the wonderful welcome, and I look forward to your continued support. It means a great deal to me … I will continue to do my very best. But as I said, I am the student, you are the masters … and I still have a lot to learn from you …:D Thumbsup

Best regards
