    Silent Mary by Mellpapa

Hello Mellpapa, I have been following your build log in silence enjoying everything you have been doing. Outstanding results so far. I do believe that the lantern does need a door so that sailors were able to have access to the interior in order to light it and/or refuel it.

    1904 Dutch Boeier Catharina

Hello everyone, It took me a week and a half, (approximately 10 days) to remodel the Admiral's kitchen and now that she is happy, I can return to the Catharina. I grabbed individual temporary bulkheads in order to use them as templates for the futtocks at each station. I outlined the bottom edge...

    1904 Dutch Boeier Catharina

Hello Everyone, Yesterday I went and got a few more copies of Catharina's drawing that I previously did not have but with Uwe's assistance and the site he graciously added to this thread above, I was able to do so. The drawings were ideal in helping me determine where all floor futtocks were...

    1904 Dutch Boeier Catharina

Uwe, many thanks for the attached link. It contains certain drawings I did not previously have. Now I may be certain to build the Catharina as close to the original without fear of making certain mistakes. Once again, thank you for your valuable input.

    1904 Dutch Boeier Catharina

Hello Everyone, I have decided to put the Victory on hold so that I may work on the 1904 Dutch Boeier Catharina. The reasons for this decisions are based on my nephew Albert and our brother Kortes here on SOS. Kortes' work on the Boeier Sperwer has left me with the desire to build one myself. My...

Planset review 1:48 planset by Gerard Delacroix - 24-prd French frigate "L'Egyptienne" built in Toulon in 1799 by François Caro

Hello Uwe, Yes, both drawings are at the scale of 1:48 which means that L'Egyptienne is a very large frigate. I have decided that L'Egyptienne will be a full build. My Admiral may become quite upset with me but as long as I ensure that I remodel her kitchen, I believe I may be safe (please pray...

Planset review 1:48 planset by Gerard Delacroix - 24-prd French frigate "L'Egyptienne" built in Toulon in 1799 by François Caro

My L'Egyptienne planset finally arrived. I will divide my efforts between Victory and L'Egyptienne. I will work on each of them on a weekly basis alternating between them. This week is Victory while next week I will start on the L'Egyptienne's frames seeing as there are quite few of them. Raymond
