Not down, just an sort of epiphany.

As I have been working, and doing this hobby I noticed I was reading a bit about ships. Not the war ships, but more about merchant ships, yachts, and such. Indeed, maybe because I served on warships, or that I am not a fan of gun ports and painting everything; but, I found myself not enjoying...

    Vacation in Quebec

Schooner Bluenose 1:48 plans by P.F. Eisnor, practium by Gene Bodnar

Why I Chose the Bluenose My first introduction to the Bluenose was from Frank Mastini's book (Ship Modeling Simplified). To me, the ship had great lines and I really like the look of the rigging. In addition, having built 2 ships of war, and one currently being built, oddly I found myself...

I mean no offense to BMs (maybe a little) or to seaman strikers, but I was a MM and a fireman before I made it up the the most petty of officers. It would be nice to...

Hermione Lafayette by Artesania Latinia 1:89 Scale

I started this build in August of 2017 and had a build log on Blogger, but the app I used no longer works so I am transferring the log here--plus seems like a nice community:). I have a few post to catch up with, so I will add a post or two a day until I catch up. I lost some pics of my phone...

    Waterline Marking Tool

As my son no spends more time reading car magazines then legos, I have acquired some of his legos for use. Recenlty I used some to make a watereline marking jig for my Hermione La Fayette build. Used some wire to hold the pencil tight, the nubs in the legos held the pencil nice and square.
