Hi Uwe, thank you very much for the wishes. I am afraid I have no real update for you guys. Family and Work keep me busy.

Hi Linton, a very good start. This is a great model. I am also in the middle of the building. Maybe I should post an update on my progress.

The progress in the shipyard is really slow, but at least steady. Started to knot some ratlines. I used the paper to have an equal distance between the ratlines.

And I also did a test run to have furled sails on the ship. How do you think does it look? Would you say something I should continue?

It's been some time since the last pictures. The guns are still not finished, but I started to do some other stuff. And I have to say the masts are a bit higher than expected

Slow progress. Painting of the carriages is done. The next steps are cleaning the bronze cast cannon, sanding of the carriages so that the cannons are actually fitting, painting the wheels and fixing them.

here the bilge pumps. I liked the colour of the copper strips. Thats why I decided to keep them as they are. And if you have the space you can actually move the lever up and down ;)

Slow but steady process. Finished all 10 gun carriages. Before taking the picture all of them looked okay. Now I see on every single one all kind of flaws. o_O

Thank you very much for your nice words Grant. Started to work on the lower deadeyes. Just 50 pieces are needed for the 3 masts. The wire around the deadeye is already preformed, but iis way to wide. So some bending is necessary. I have made a picture of all the steps necessary.

Here is my update to the rudder. In my previous post you have seen (eyes of an eagle are needed) that I made a groove in the rudder where the hinges will be. I put the bearings for the hinges on a green plastic coated fence wire (it just had the right diameter and glued them into the groove...
