just thought i'd post a minimal build log to show what the heller soleil looks like with a more feasible hull....managed to build a wooden hull from plans provided by neko in model ship world....and painfully matched the plastic forms to the wooden hull......
8' hms royal william r/c.....viking kit.....5' norske love r/c....vasa scratch with kit decorations....13' hms victory r/c in 1986
that's it for me...no more building....78 a good year to quit, as i couldn't stand not finishing one :)
modified the dusek bireme kit as i imagined it could be.....i never understood why psychics always focused on who did what and what they wore etc, rather than foe example, what these ships actually looked like :)
loved this kit by aeropiccola.......amazingly close to the model at the south kengsington museum in london.......i modified the shape of the hull a bit, and narrowed the forecastle a bit......oh yes, and i used pearwood....
r/c ship under eight feet long......eight cannons fire with gunpowder......haha...now i don't know what to do with it.....by the way it only weighs about 30-35lbs without ballast...
