Сестрорецк [Sestroretsk] Scratchbuild scale 1/64 Russ. torpedo boat 1894

So everything is copied and these are fitting in scale to 1/48 and to each other. I didn't got a scale gauge with the frames so I looked on top of the light tablet for the spacing of the water lines.

For better detailing I enlarged one set of drawings of sideview/WLplan by 150% up to 1/32 - I ever become as made as to build her in this amazing scale:

Сестрорецк [Sestroretsk] from 1894 has been upscaled to 1/32

to redraw the old plan from ink on linen fabric in a propper way. Let's start finding the details.

The other copies in 1/48 are ready for glueing on cardboard (trying spray glue for a dry contact) and cutting out:

So building will start in 1/48 this evening...

First decissions for the build are made:

1ST
So there will certainly be the CenterBoard and to get mir "stiffness" I do add parallelly the vertical layer N°II or N°III as I do habe to build the centerboard from a number of cardboard pices.
The decission about the position of the vertical layers will depend on the results of a test build of the midsection.

2ND
All the underwater water lines will be brought in so the underwater hull has has a good "definition" - they will be simply pushed in horizontal slots.

3RD
The bulkheads will come with a CL-slot from below and a pair of N° II or N°III slots from the top. The "planking" will be made by some 160g paper.

4TH
But the imitation of the plating depends on the thickness of the original plating I do hope to find in the cutting drawings.

Does you have any suggestions to my four points?

Irritation -

IMG_20251105_103446_932.jpg

the lines drawings were SEVEN MILLIMETERS shorter than the other drawings in the very same scale.
IMG_20251105_111227_553.jpg
So I decided to cut the plan into two parts at the less to beavel part surrounding the engine room.

IMG_20251105_112953_617.jpg

So this problem ist"fixed"

Today there were good and unnice results with the water lines drawings:

IMG-20251112-WA0003.jpeg

...and the result was terrorising because the hole CL wasn't straight at all
IMG-20251112-WA0004.jpeg

...so I decided to redraw the lines drawings and prepared all needed materials for tomorrow - and put alongsite the CL.
IMG-20251112-WA0007.jpeg

Good results were made at the CL onto two sheets of DIN A3 papers - there it all fits in (but not in the copyshop due to the framing around).

All the formers are cut out - and so I can add all the waterlines in the WLdrawing. So tomorrow I have to Work with my big taylor's rulerset.

Today the waterline drawing have to be
IMG-20251113-WA0003.jpeg
"repaired" here my way to deal with this huge Problem:
IMG-20251113-WA0007.jpeg
I.
Due to get a correct result I have started to put the bulkheads cutouts onto the yesterday drawn centerline (CL)
IMG-20251113-WA0009.jpeg

and punched thought the copied bulkhead's line with a fine cutter's tip - so getting a precise point to run the waterline onto - hopefully...

II.
So to avoid any sinister inconsistancies I only
IMG-20251113-WA0011.jpeg
set the portsided dots and so I have an easier time.

III.
When all the portside dots are placed than I will take a pair of compasses to mirrow them ontop towards the starboard side.
IMG-20251113-WA0013.jpeg

IMG-20251113-WA0015.jpeg
So that's all from me the cardyard and this finscale work being very annoying to my eyes...

BTW
...and due to this dotting technique good old punched card ist back again!

Hello,

the SESTRORETSK made a good progress today, I got the two part centerboard drawn ready, cut out the straight section of the keel.

And decided to keep the staircase's upper structure in the centerboard.
