Ahoy me 'earties! Any advice, please, on the better of the 2 kits available in 1/64 - Caldercraft or Victory models [Amati]? At the moment I'm leaning towards Amati as I found their Chris Columbus kits excellent, whereas Calder's Victory has a few disappointments in parts & materials. I do have Caldercraft's instructions & Amati's drawings to ponder over before committing myself!

Thanks, in advance, Stuart

You could scratch build her. The Amati drawings usually show keel, decks, bulkheads and most parts 1/1. That's about all you need for starters.
I've already looked into that way, but by the time I've bought the parts I cannot make, & materials I haven't got in stock, it's almost the cost of a kit - plus the extra time required as now I've 'survived' to 80, who knows what's left! ;) Besides, I still have Jotika's Vic to complete, which has been put aside for now. It all helps to pass the time. :DExclamation-Mark
