So after building several Chinese Halcon 1:70 and 1:100 models acquiring some skills required for shipbuilding i finally took the step of getting a proper modeling kit.

I bought this kit 2nd hand for €25 the previous owner started it but after something broke he gave up and put it up for sale.

After some investigation on the parts it looked nearly complete except for the deck supports the one on starboard and portside being broken.

This is easy solvable since its just a square beam wich i got laying around.

So far this is the progress i got it from the previous owner.

Glued 6 90° supports to hold the keel on my wooden board to have my hands free while building .

It will be a slow build since im a sailor in real life and i work rotations of 3 weeks/3 weeks .

Enjoy your work on this fine model kit
work rotation of 3 weeks -> does this mean, that you can work 3 weeks on your model in one piece -> heaven on earth Beer

Today i started on some of the deck structures just to get a little break from the hull bending the forward bridge soaked it in some water and just let it rest with the rubber bands for the night .

Will add walnut vineer to the bridge just to break it colour wise from the deck later on .
