I found a 1970's era Scientific model kit on E-Bay for only $ 15.00. Having completed the A/L kit I thought it would be fun to try.

I added real deadeyes and blocks. 2.5 mm blocks and 3.5 mm deadeys.

I built one as a pre-teen. Long gone as is my youth. I picked up a built one at a garage sale years ago. You've inspired me to fix it up and re-rig. Nice piece of work.

Nice job on both versions. I love those vintage Scientific & Sterling kits. Scientific went on to become Micro Mark after discontinuing ship models
