A big "heavy"

Very nice! More details about the ship, please... and when do you plan to start building her? Look at the depth of that 'heavy' waterline! How much cargo could that thing carry?

Oil was considered to be a dangerous cargo. Hauling it in bulk was especially dangerous due to the difficulty of maintaining vapor tight cargo spaces prior to the advent of welded construction. Because of this, sailing vessels were original preferred because the fire hazards of a steamship was avoided. Hauling oil in sealed metal containers also minimized the vapor hazard. The seven masted schooner Thomas W. Lawson was built to haul cased oil.

... like back in the old days when after refining crude oil they just 'dumped' the byproduct called gasoline anywhere they could find, to dispose of it, because they didn't know what it could be used for nor what to possibly do with it!
