A different keel clamp?

Thanks again to Doc for the keel clamp plans.

This one is for those that build plastic.
I made these to hold hulls while building. The first one supports the hull on threaded rod that goes into nuts epoxied to the inside of the hull. Those nuts will also be used for the finials used on the final base assembly. With this rough stand I can lay the hull on its side too.

Later in the build, after the hull is painted, I switch it over to one of these adjustable ones, with the same threaded rod supports.

Easy to make. I have two, one for 1/700 scale and one for 1/350 scale.

Then, mount the thing to the finished base using lamp finials in the same holes.
