A mystery kit from many years ago

I'm with Pit Boss. Note: 1) only 3 port holes in the bow. 2) Rubbing strake that runs 80% of the hull. 3) step down of frames just aft of the third port hole. Only kit shown that meets all these criteria.

Looks like a fun project!! Glad it fell into good hands, when the time comes.

Fascinating project Jan. It certainly looks like @Hoss6262 Ken is right in the ballpark on this one. However, there is another alternative which you can build this model into with a heck of a story behind it. But, and this is the big but ... I had the info once, but now to find it and hope that I did not delete it. I can't even remember the name of the boat anymore.
I think that will be a Summer project.

NP Jan. Two things I noticed that piqued my interest is the similarity in the rib construction and the portals are identical. I bet if you found a forum and uploaded a couple of photos you would have your answer and any others in no time flat.
It's not a Dumas but rather it's a Sterling. Not the 63' motor yacht but looks like the Sterling Corvette. A very nice model to go RC with.
