Many thanks for the add,a little about myself
63 years old and retired living in rural Scotland,I started building kits when I was around 6 years old ,I built most everything but I really liked the old airfix and revell sailing ships ,in fact the 1st model I brought with my saved up pocket money was the revell santa Maria
I mostly built 1/35 armour and 1/24 &1/48 aircraft but back in 2003 I took my son to see pirates of the Caribbean and it rekindled my interest in sail so I built my 1st wooden ship the president followed by the lovely caldercraft brig badger and then the lancing armata 1/17 armed pinace
Victory models released the beautiful HMS Vanguard and I had to have it to build as bellerophon ,I had the framework and the gunport patterns done and a few other bits built around 2012 but it was then my wife of 30 years passed away caused by a brain tumor which she had battled for the previous 7 years and Billy Ruffian got shelved
Around 3 1/2 years ago I retired and moved to rural Scotland from England with the current Mrs torchy ,we where teenage sweethearts back in the late 1970's but that's another story
I've been mostly building 1/16 tanks with full interiors and love adding and scratch building suff for them
I rediscovered bellerophon in a storage box in the loft and brought her down to my mancave ,after a week or so of checking it over for damage and missing parts it appears she's shipshape and complete ,so after 14 years marooned I'm back to scaring wood instead of plastic so be prepared for lots of silly questions as I'm a bit rusty and I need to relearn a lot
I've started the 1st planking and she's looking lovely, what a beautiful shape hull she has
Thanks for looking
Andy
