My first build MS Rattlesnake.Started with the rigging, the kit was stored for 19 years and a few bits are missing. To get me started, could anyone tell me what size the deadeyes for the shroud lanyards should be?

On real ships of the same period like your Rattlesnake:

According to Lees (The Masting and Rigging of English Ships of War), the diameter of the deadeyes was 1.5 times the circumference of the stay or shroud and their thickness slightly more than half of the diameter.

RC Anderson (The Rigging of Ships...1600 - 1720) mentions, that the diameter of the deadeye should be about half of the mast thickness to which they belong.

Thanks to Uwe and also
Donnies library suggestions I have bought Lennarth Petersson's rigging period ship models. The illustrations are really clear and have helped me to understand my Rattlesnak plans. Thanks everyone I'm not quite so confused now.
