I dunno about calling it Junk, looks really nice to me. Especially the dragon on the stern, was that hand painted?
The bow and stern decorations were supplied with the Amati kit as transfer decals. They are fanciful but traditional to Junks of this type. If you’re interested, some excellent photographs are reproduced in Peter Wieg’s book ‘Die Chinesischen Dschunken’.Unfortunately the model does not accurately represent the shoddy state of real junks even when new.
