Amazing What You Find

Well, when digging out the kits I was giving away I made two interesting discoveries!! I had two more kits stored I had bought one in 1997 and one in 1975!!! The 1995 kit is the Scientific "Man O War" kit with a solid hull. The Le Soleil Royal kit #185. This kit was not sealed but has never been out of the box!! The second kit is the Panart Lancia Amarla 1803 Armored Launch. This kit was made in 1997 and I paid $175 for it when I bought it. It has never been opened until today. The tape was still sealed on the edges!!

I can't wait to finish clearing my shelves of the old kits to see what else I bought and stored!!

Sounds like you also found yourself wanting to play but having other things like family (good) and career (maybe good, maybe just a necessity) keeping your play time at bay! Found any duplicate kits yet? Somehow I ended up with a pair of one of the midwest kits

Nope, after the giveaway I’m down to single digits. What I’m down to is developing shaking hands so I’m going to have to stay away from ships with rigging and move more towards non sail ships or ships with very little rigging.

What I do have is a 1:60 th scale kit of the Vasa tha5 I got the bulkheads mounted to the keel and now I’ve packed it all up because my hands won’t let me build the kit. I’m hoping to find someone in the Midwest I can hand it off to if they want a challenge. Shipping it is not an option for me so I’m hoping someone within driving distance of Indianapolis would come get this kit to build it.
