I've just finished the hull & deck fittings, now she's ready for masting, but that's a job for spring. I find no reference to steering in the plans, so assume the tiller to be under the 'poop' decking. Any thoughts welcome.
This is my first lower hull single plank layer - no filler used.
Under the closed poop deck would mean, that the helmsman was not able to see anything - and because of limited space hard to stand next to the tiller.
I think, that the tiller was on the deck of the poop deck - so the rudder stock / shaft is going through the house.
