This post will be of a look inside an ordinary seaman’s life in pictures I found while cleaning! But first a little about the man! Born October 20, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York. His name Alfred Sarnowski, American born of Polish decent! I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this man because he was my wife’s uncle! Everything about this man was about the sea! His clothes he wore always with a skipper’s hat! His home all adorned with a nautical theme! His den with a rough but elegant wooden model of one of the ships he sailed on, the “Christian Radick “! He loved sailing ️ and fishing! Sadly he passed in the mid Nineties! Even while in the hospital delusional and near deaths door I was comforting him talking to him and he was baiting hooks and fishing from his hospital bed! here are A few pictures of some of his life on the sea! I will add more pictures in time !
