I have a question and I hope that some of you can give me some advice or show some examples

I am asking related to my HMS Granado (1742 - Bomb vessel)
-> Goodwin is writing in his Anatomy book, that the stream anchor was stored below, so i the hold

In the center you can see the main hatch and in the hold, close to the pumps will be the anchor cable etc.

There are two pillars, so I guess the anchor should be fixed or lashed vertical against such a pillar, or?
I can not find in moment photos of other stored anchors, but remembering correctly they are stored "upside down" means with the head of the anchor down and the crown with the flukes up, or? Why this?
with which kind of knots etc. and anchor shank etc. would be lashed against the pillar?

It is a small detail, but due to the fact, that it will be visible in my splitted model, it seems to be important not to make here a technical mistake

Many Thanks in advance for your help and assistance
Some photos or links to pages with photos would be great to better understand

This was new for me and after a search through my books I cannot find anything at all to help. I hope someone finds information on this for you as it is quite interesting.

In many cases, I believe the anchor cable was tied to a rider or other sturdy structural member in the hold. Although most riders I've seen are tight against the ceiling, and could not have a cable tied around it. (I do not think the pillars are strong enough to attach cable to. Their intent was to support the deck beams vertically, and would not have sufficient horizontal force capability.)

I have seen one source and diagram where the cable was tied to the nearby mast, which makes the most sense to me, but I cannot remember the source for this, nor do I have a picture.

As you know, I am also modeling the Granado, and my intent is to attach the cables to the mainmast, and also to provide an eye out from that to "route" the cable around the pump well, as I believe reaching the end of the rope would destroy the pump well otherwise. Something like this:

As to how it was attached, I would assume an anchor knot as done connecting to the anchor.

Possibly an inside clinch knot for this 105mm diameter rope would be easier and take up less room.

I am wrestling with how to create the coiled cable tier, while having it tied to the mainmast, which won't be there until after the deck above is placed and the mast inserted. It's hard to visualize the best way to handle this for me. Yours is a bit different, the lower half being open from the top.
