Hi All
John L here. Based in Melbourne, a lover of ships and modelling of all sorts of things. I am working my way to wooden models via plastic, but with lots of wooden accessories. Still working on my "first" attempt at doing sometihng better than the straight box kit...the old Airfix Endeavour but with wooden blocks and material sails etc... Wish me luck!
:)

Welcome to the forums !
I would love to see some pics of your build of the Endeavour and follow your build. :)
Thanks. Well I am about to start the running rigging and the sails. The rest is done. I found some errors in the kit and made some corrections. It might be useful to post these although...shock! horror!...it is a plastic kit :-)
If you think it is worth doing I am happy to add that info. Here are some pictures of it at the moment. It is essentially my first ship. i.e. I have done two or three YEARS ago and with no added details. Here I am trying to add some details....as practice for more detailed models to come. Criticisms sought and welcomed. e.g. my seizings are not vey tidy yet!

Welcome John,
Enjoy your transition.
Cheers,
Stephen.

Doesn't look like you need much luck in that build. Apparently you have the talent. Welcome

Well those blocks are not tied very neatly! But they are the first I have done. I hope to improve. I am still not sure how to tie lanywards between heart blocks...how do you hide the ends? They are too small for anything clever, at least from my hands! I like this way of doing it...but too hard for me at this scale!
