I'm working on the braces on the Discovery1789. Looking at Petersson's belaying plan C, I noticed that the fore and spritsail topsail braces were on the pin rail but for some reason the fore topgallant brace is stuck over on the belfry. Oh, I just noticed that the spritsail brace is on the pin rail too. I'm imagining a conversation.
Rigger- Boss, I've run of room on the pinrail, where does the topgallant brace go?
Boss- Oh crap, I dunno, can you stick a couple of rings in the belfry and put them there.
Rigger- Well if you say so, but it's going to cause some confusion in the future.
Boss- To heck with the future, what have they ever done for us.
Or is the a simple reason for this?
