back in the 70s we took our boy scouts to fall river to spend a night on the uss massachusets... a great ship to explore. the pt 109 kenedy boat and the growler sub was also part of the attraction. there was a building accross the street with a lage model of the titanic as well as giving us a wonderful history recital and a fantastic demonstration that impressed everyone.
a couple of the adults n i snuck off the property to visit the mostly Portuguese town. it wasnt a very touristy town at that time. recently i saw something on pbs about the area and i must say it now seems very developed with plenty of maratime museums n histoy rich sight seeing and wonderful restaurants. some of the models shown in this show were very impressive.
so has anyone explored this area recently n would like to share the photos n experiance?
