Avatar - just changed mine -> way to change it or how to make it

Hallo friends and members and member friends,

Today I changed my Avatar, this is the small photo which is usually close to your user-name



In the past over more than 10 years I had a section model as photo, but now it was the time for a change - so I have chosen this one -

I realized also, that a lot of members do not have an avatar, but still have a "Letter", usually the first letter of your username - which is given automatically by the software when you register.

If you want to change it and personalize your account a little bit more, it is a very easy step and needs only some seconds.

1) Go to your personal area on the right top of the forums page and click on your name


afterwards this should appear:


click on "Account details" and this should appear:


click on the image area and you can search for a file in your computer or the web

Safe - finished!

I am looking forward to see some new Avatars

Don't forget that you MAY have to resize the photo to make it work.
I changed mine some months back and it was to large so had to resize it twice.

You are right - if the file is too big - the software is telling it - resize and try once more
as we can see @Norway alias Knut made it already
