I've seen this elsewhere...and was not sure of its origin. What a fantastic idea...and wonderfully executed.

Hi Uwe, no this is a fully scratch build wooden model. I had a discussion with the builder about it a year ago. Every deck is build as an individual drawer
Scheepsmodelbouw Open Dag, of course, was an exhibition of ship models. There were a lot of models, I did not even expect to see such a number. According to the rules of the exhibition, models of ships whose originals were built before 1940 were shown.
Unfortunately, it was dark enough in the exhibition hall, and I did not use a flash because of the possible blinding of people in the hall. Therefore, many photos turned out poor quality and I will not publish them. I post that turned out well.

On the territory of the shipyard, you can find a lot of interesting things that are associated with wooden shipbuilding. Guns and anchors, forge and cable workshop, decor workshop. Everything is serious, everything is historically accurate.
