Dima, a good set. I wish you enjoy this build and we all wish you a lot of work. Tell me, is there a drawing of a model in scale on a large sheet with a body and accessories in the kit, or is everything just in the booklet?
In the upcoming detailed Kit Review, I will discuss plans\drafts. In short, yes there are six sheets of plans on a scale of 1:72. The set of plans doesn't contain the 'body' plan but has plans for planking the hull (side view), keel structure, templates for the cannon ports. The instruction manual included images and referenced those plans in each chapter. They are certainly not the drafts you can build the model from scratch.

Dima, I didn't mean plans for building from scratch. For example, the set of the schooner "Swallow" from the Squadra company does not contain at least one model-scale plan.

Three days after Jim's delivery arrived today also my package from SAIL AND SAIL. It was good that two address labels were stuck on, because one was worn beyond recognition. The package is perfectly fine and no corner bumped.
Great news, Thomas! Home, sweet home! Hope we will have more company building this model. She is a pretty long lady...;)

BTW, The copy of my La Belle book is on the way from ANCRE to my home. :)

Very well made Jim. I know I'm jumping the gun but what do you think of the cast figurehead, maybe more classy if carved ?
The figurehead provided in the kit is brass casting but spotted many details. I don't know if a carving figurehead could be an option. Most likely it will make the kit more expensive. Maybe if there will be more interest in such an upgrade... we can always ask, it will not hurt.

Hi Hedley!

The monograph is from an antiquarian bookshop in Hamburg. When I ordered it, there was no internet for private persons at that time. The cover is badly worn, but the real treasure is the contents. Floral white, undamaged und probably I was the first to ever unfold these plans. These plans have never been on a workbench or hanging on the wall.

Best regards

Thanks Jim, looks fine and would be perfectly acceptable.
I guess it's just me thinking thinking a nice looking kit like this deserves a figurehead that matches the quality of carvings supplied
Here is my take on this. The figurehead was gold gilded, even if you make it from wood, you would need to paint or use gold leaf. But...we can ask Sail and Sail if he can make a boxwood figurehead and what will be the cost associated with it.

Not necessary thanks Jim. I think it looks a fine kit as is.
